The D100 gives excellent acoustic insulation, enhanced by perforated edges and profile fillers to reduce noise transmission — particularly beneficial in urban environments.
A versatile profile is available in both plain and factory-perforated acoustic versions, offering an excellent combination of structural strength, stiffness, and sound absorption.
Perforated web roof decking to provide acoustic absorption, acoustic reduction and structural support.
Capable of spanning up to 6.0 metres through the effective use of overlapping sheets, making it ideal for large commercial spaces and warehouses where wide, open interiors are essential. This profile is designed to support heavy loads, with typical loadings reaching up to 4.0 kN/m², while maintaining a lightweight structure.
With greater environmental sustainability, the D100 is recycleable - friendly.
Easy to handle for safer onsite logistics.
Compliance with Design Codes and Standards (see technical)

RoofDek D100 Acoustic Performance
The RoofDek D100 profile can be supplied with factory-applied perforations to enhance sound absorption, making it suitable for buildings requiring effective noise control.
Sound Absorption Class: Ranges from A to D, depending on the chosen liner and insulation system.
Exposed Area (EA): Ratio of perforated area to total steel surface area.
Cover Area (CA): Ratio of perforated area to soffit footprint.
These acoustic parameters enable engineers and acoustic consultants to confidently design roofing systems that meet stringent noise control requirements. For detailed acoustic reports and design advice, please contact the RMD Profiles technical team.
It is ideal for use in schools, industrial facilities, stadiums, commercial buildings, and other projects where acoustic performance and durability are critical.
Compliance with Design Codes and Standards
The RoofDek D100 complies with the following:
Eurocode 3 (EN 1993-1-3): Cold-formed steel structural design
Eurocode 9 (EN 1999-1-4): Aluminium structures (where applicable)
SCI P359: Fire performance design guidelines
ISO 11654: Acoustic absorption ratings
BS 5950-6:1995: British Standard for profiled steel sheeting (noting that Eurocode generally allows mesh reinforcement while BS 5950 requires bar reinforcement in troughs)
Steel Construction Institute (SCI) P300: Good practice for metal decking design
RMD Profiles can assist with both Eurocode and British Standard compliant designs to suit your project requirements.
